THE EVOLUTION OF MEDIA

Post by bitheerani319 »

It's been more than five years since I left university, and I clearly remember how technology was still a subject somewhat distant from reality in the Brazilian media, especially for cities in the interior, such as Caxias do Sul, where I studied, and Vacaria, my hometown, which I'm talking about now.

So you must be thinking: “Five years? Such a short time, what world did you live in?” And I tell you, in a world where having a smartphone was for the few and that I myself had not yet known, sorry for being honest… I remember a colleague who had a BlackBerry and was a huge success! LOL.

Well, the point I want to make is within the classroom I attended. It goes back to the Journalistic Writing classes taught by Professor Paulo Ribeiro, a master who taught me with his red pens what each text should contain and what is and is not allowed in relation to journalistic ethics. It goes back to the Telejournalism classes taught by Professor Marliva Vanti Gonçalves, who taught me to read the soul of the interviewees and what is behind what they say, to capture the most emotional feelings without disrespecting the source.

Anyway, I got confused once again and didn't say what I wanted to say. After all, remembering these teachings takes me back to one of the most learning times in my life, of absorbing the most knowledge. The buy singapore email list I'm referring to is about how things change and how quickly. These same teachers were the ones who told me a little over five years ago and who put a sparkle in our eyes when they said that it would be possible in the future to have Digital TV, to talk to people at a distance, in real time, looking into each other's eyes. And, to me... that seemed so impossible, I remember we were dazzled by such a possibility!

Oh! If only we had known about the creativity of Uncle Marck (creator of Facebook), his friends Brian Acton and Jan Koum (creators of WhatsApp), and of course, of many others who have emerged. If we had known, we would never have believed in the possibility of the extinction of printed newspapers, something very aggressive for us journalists. And what do printed newspapers have to do with social networks? Well, a lot.
