I could give my opinion on the subject, based on my experience and daily work in Email Marketing for several years now, but I thought that summarizing the conclusions of the most important and recent studies on the subject would be more objective and therefore better.

Here are 7 conclusions that determine the reasons why Email Marketing is important for your business:

According to the latest study by the DMA (Direct Marketing Association) in 2010, for every euro invested in Email Marketing, approximately €30 of ROI is generated.
In the 2010 Datran Media study, it was summarized that 39.4% of the industries surveyed highlighted Email Marketing as the advertising and sales channel that worked best for them.

The Ad Effectiveness Survey conducted by Forbes Media in 2010 highlighted africa business email list Email Marketing as the 2nd best converting channel after SEO.
ForeSee's study concluded that emails are the second biggest influence on retail purchases, with brand familiarity being the first.

72% of those surveyed by eConsultancy in early 2011 said that the 2nd channel that offered them the highest ROI was Email Marketing, with SEO being the first.

A study by ExactTarget target from April this year concluded that 93% of online consumers are email subscribers to brands. The results show that there is more “engagement” with brands via email than via Facebook (42%) or Twitter (5%).

The same study said that almost 60% of respondents said that opening email was the first online activity they did in the morning.
