DON'Ts or what should NOT appear on your resume :

Post by Bappy12 »

In most cases, the CV represents the first contact companies have with you , and you and I know how important it is to make a good first impression. The goal is to win over the hiring manager in just a few lines, so today we give you the best tips to make him or her fall in love with you, or at least, so that your CV doesn't get forgotten.

Spelling mistakes.
Full-body photos, or weird selfies . They're fine for your social media, list of colombia cell phone numbers but don't let them go beyond that.
It is not advisable to use the European CV template. You may have considered using it, but it is best to give up the temptation.
It is not necessary to put the marital status or the number of children
Outdated information that does not add value, for example courses taken 10 or more years ago on a topic that you have not covered again.
DOs or what you SHOULD include in your resume:

What you should and shouldn't include in your resume

Contact information and place of residence. Make sure you include your contact phone number and email address. But be careful with email accounts! Try to provide an email account that is as neutral as possible and forget about email addresses like: [email protected]
Date of birth, not age. Don't indicate that you are 30 years old, but your date of birth. This way, you will continue to have birthdays. If you put 30 years old, you will have them as long as the CV exists.
List your professional profiles, such as LinkedIn, and even your blog or website if you have one. Before doing so, make sure they are in perfect order.
Provides data on formal training.
Professional experience.
Additional training.
Computing.
Languages.
Considerations for writing a resume

Other considerations you should keep in mind:

Don't lie. Not even a little. Believe me, it's not a good idea to lie about your education. Avoid the embarrassment of feeling "caught" in the job interview.
Create different CVs depending on the job you want to apply for. In some cases it will be more convenient to highlight some things and in others, other things. But remember not to fall into the previous point!
Before sending it, ask a friend to read it . A very simple step that can be of great help in detecting possible areas for improvement.
Don't use negative phrases . Every word counts. Be careful with the words you use. Avoid words with negative connotations and use a positive and active tone.
Try to be as clear and concise as possible. Don't beat around the bush and don't tell us about your life and work. This is not the best place for this.
Do not use more than two different fonts .
Use digits . Better 4 than “four.”
Don't send it in Word format. Convert your resume to PDF and you'll be sure that everything will be where it should be.
Consider including a cover letter.
Check out all our tips and put them into practice. Good luck with your search!
