As for his earnings from Nickelodeon, the contract terms haven’t been publicly disclosed. However, by the time he left the network, Schneider had become one of Nickelodeon’s highest-earning producers. Upon leaving Nickelodeon, Schneider was reportedly paid a hefty sum of $7 million. This sum was most likely not considered damages since both Schneider and Nick framed his departure as a ‘mutual decision’.

The series returned to Nickelodeon in 2002 and ran for an additional four seasons until 2005. These two weren’t the only shows Dan Schneider was working on at the time, though. Between 1996 and 1997, he acted as the executive producer and writer for Kenan & Kel, starring Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell.
He executive-produced the first two seasons and had several guest appearances on the series. Even though he wasn’t the executive producer in season three and forward, Schneider continued consulting for the remainder of the series. He also wrote the 1997 film Good Burger, starring Kenan and Kel with Schneider in a supporting role. This film was spun off from All That, a sketch produced by Schneider, as well. In 1998, Dan Schneider decided to try himself in show creation.
This was most likely an amount that was still owed to him under his contract.
