1.- Prioritize mobile traffic
We have officially reached the point where we receive far more traffic from mobile devices than from desktops.
Your site must be properly indexed and formatted to be competitive in the SERPs.
Invest in a mobile-optimized site that is responsive and can give visitors the same full experience they would get on desktop.

Our research clearly indicated that mobile traffic is dominating ecommerce overall, regardless of the individual industry or country in which the searches originated.
When we analyzed the 13 most popular ecommerce categories in total, we found that mobile surpassed desktop in total traffic by approximately 46%.
This trend is more prominent in some industries than others.
The food industry, for example, was achieving exceptionally high amounts of mobile traffic.
This makes sense, as users are likely to search for “restaurant near me” when they’re on the go.
Taking all this into account, it doesn't mean that desktop traffic is irrelevant; for example, the book industry email in french still has 40.3% of its traffic coming from desktop users, and for the music industry that figure is 37.3%.
Mobile devices are clearly important, but in certain industries, a large amount of traffic still comes from desktop users.

Start focusing on mobile users on your ecommerce site. Make them your priority this year, instead of thinking of the desktop as the primary platform.
