From Monday 8th to Thursday 11th February I was at the CdT in Dènia, giving a 16-hour course on Online Tourism Marketing to professionals in the sector.
One of the first exercises we did was to define each company and its differentiation from the competition . Few of them knew how to specifically define their differentiating values, even when they met representatives gambling data usa of the competition taking the same course. More than half of the participants had a website or blog, but only one of the companies used a web analytics system to measure results.
Although the expectations of the course were focused on selling more with the help of online tools, we discovered that other variables, such as brand monitoring and web analytics, are useful to take into account to optimize company resources aimed at sales.
The course was divided into 4 themes that focused on Identity, Image and Reputation (Attract); Visibility and Positioning (Seduce), Web 2.0 and its tools (Convert) and Web Analytics (Loyalty) . It was a broad agenda that motivated questions, participation and implementing the tools from a strategic point of view by the attendees, mostly business owners in the tourism sector in Denia.
We took some nice photos of the course, you can see them on Prestigia Online Friends , the Prestigia fan page on Facebook
