March 2018: What's new in ActiveTrail

We hope that the holiday season went well and that 2018 will be a successful year for you and your business. At ActiveTrail, the transition from 2017 to 2018 brought its share of innovations and new updates.
Here are some of the new features we have concocted for you to make your marketing campaigns even simpler and more effective. We have:
updated ActiveTrail integration with Zapier (sending a text message is now incredibly easy);
added SMS campaign personalization to our automation system;
improved our system's support for a bunch of new emoticons (emojis);
enabled importing contacts from FTP server;
added hidden fields on landing pages and registration forms.
Now, we'll explain everything to you! Here we go:
1. ActiveTrail – Zapier Integration
Great news! We’ve improved our integration with Zapier. You no longer need to use the invitation link we used to provide on our website. You can now search for ActiveTrail directly on the Zapier platform and connect your ActiveTrail account to any other third-party system. Examples: CMS systems (like WordPress), cloud solutions (like Google Sheets), CRM systems france telegram (Salesforce), and many other applications that are essential to you… and all this without having to write a single line of code!
**A nice and useful reminder: ActiveTrail has a very intuitive and easy-to-use RESTful API for developers who want to integrate with other systems. However, for those who are not interested or do not have the capacity to do so, the Zapier integration offers the ultimate solution. **

What you need to do:
1. Sign up and log in to your Zapier and ActiveTrail accounts .
2. Add ActiveTrail to your Zapier account using a TOKEN issued specifically for you in ActiveTrail.
3. Start syncing ActiveTrail with any of the hundreds of systems Zapier works with.

* “Zap” is the name given by Zapier for a connection between two systems.
And it doesn't end there, far from it - sending SMS messages via Zapier is as simple as it gets!
Now, you can easily send SMS messages to your subscribers, automatically, in response to an event (a trigger) that occurred in another system!
What you need to do:
1. Select the appropriate trigger, for example: your upcoming webinar on GotoWebinar.
2. Choose ActiveTrail as the “action” system, for example: send a reminder SMS with login credentials to your webinar registrants.
3. Fill in all the necessary fields: name (of the sender), phone number, message content, etc.
4. And that’s it! Are you ready? Let’s go!

2. Personalization of SMS campaigns as part of automation
Combining SMS campaigns with email campaigns as part of automated customer journeys will definitely increase the chances of your emails being read by your customers.
