Some of the improvements may already be familiar to you, you may have even tried them before, who knows?

1. Additional fields in registration forms
We have especially focused on the importance of sending personalized emails to your recipients. This is why ActiveTrail has worked to create features that will allow you to make your emails more and more personalized.

As a result, we have added additional possibilities for you to use additional information about your customers to contact them more effectively. Dynamic registration forms will allow you to build a more precise idea of ​​your customers. This will help you send them emails in the future that are more adapted to their needs and desires.

For example, if you are in charge of a B2C-oriented sales site, you will be able to ask your customers how often they want to receive your news by email by suggesting different possible options: once a day, once a week, once a month.

Another example, if you are a more B2B oriented company, it would be interesting to segment your customers into two groups according to the type of business they manage – for example, you can ask your subscribers what business they are in and thus receive the information necessary for your compartmentalization.

How to add fields to a registration form?

Go to “Contacts” – “Registration Form” – “New”

Clicking on the form fields will open an editing window and an “Edit Fields” button.

Clicking on the “Edit Fields” button will open a window with the fields that will appear in the registration form.

To add your own field, click “add fields” and a new field opens, for which you can choose a name and field type.

With the new update, in the “Field Type” you can now set your recipient options in the field you created.

For example, you can define a “favorite color” field and choose “radio buttons” as the field type.

In the “customer field values” field, define three possible colors, separate them with commas, and then the customer can choose between the three.

Other options available in “field type” are: text, checkbox, single drop-down menu, multiple drop-down menu.

Text: The type of field that allows the recipient to respond freely.

Checkboxes: The type of field that allows the recipient to check an option present in the list.

Simple drop-down menu: The type of field that allows the recipient to select (or not) an option.

Multiple drop-down menu: The type of field that allows the recipient to select a number of options from a list, as in the following example:
