A report published by the Visa Innovation Center showed that Brazil leads the ranking of countries with the highest number of payments made via apps in Latin America. Since last year, Brazil has become the fourth country with the highest consumption of apps in the world: we use at least ten of them per day, and most of the time, for purchases. If the data is already positive for the country at present, the scenario is even more promising for the future: the number of smartphone users is expected to increase by 30% by 2020, which will result in an increase of around 7.2% in financial transactions via mobile phones.

Among the main factors that have been attracting more and more uk email list consumers to this type of technology, the research highlighted the practicality of this method in relation to payment, possible failures in the credit/debit card machine and the security of the consumer's card, since when related to a reliable interface, the probability of cloning or damage to the card is much lower.

Brazil currently accounts for 3% of users who make purchases via smartphones, and the potential for expansion is huge. It is no coincidence that financial giants, cell phone manufacturers and technology groups, such as Visa, Cielo and Samsung, are investing in this form of payment, as are startups present in the national market, which have expanded this type of service.

The market must pay attention to innovations, as the outlook is optimistic: Latin American consumers who use apps spend 48 times more than the international average, and among the 20 countries in Latin America, at least 50% of all e-commerce transactions are made in Brazil.
