Another really helpful book for growing your social media presence is A Million Followers by Brendan Kane. Brendan Kane is a digital strategist who has worked with the likes of Rihanna and Taylor Swift, as well as brands like MTV, Skechers, and IKEA. This book for bloggers also includes interviews with influencers, celebrities, and marketing experts who share their insights on growing a social media presence. The first chapter of his book details how he gained a million followers. He writes, “While it may seem like a ridiculous idea, building a massive social following in thirty days or less is entirely possible.” He goes on to say that he used “growth canada number data hacks” to gain that many followers, but “without the other strategies, mindsets, and processes in this book, you won’t become a content creator rock star.” His other processes will teach you how to build a diverse and authentic following, create valuable content, and develop your social media branding . The main social media platforms he discusses in his book are Facebook, Instagram, YouTube , Snapchat , and LinkedIn .

Talk Triggers by Jay Baer Book for Bloggers
One powerful way to generate interest in your blog is through word-of-mouth marketing. When someone takes the time to promote your blog—or a specific blog post—people are much more likely to click. Think about it. Your best friend tells you that you absolutely must watch a new TV show. You and your friend have similar interests and tend to like the same things. You’re much more likely to watch the show after your friend recommends it than after a random advertisement. That’s what Talk Triggers is all about, and why it’s a perfect fit for my pick of the blogging books you should read this year. Written by Jay Baer and Daniel Lemin, the book looks at strategies for getting people to share your work. They explain, “Nobody says, ‘Let me tell you about a perfectly adequate experience I had last night.’ A strategic, operational differentiator is what gives customers something to tell a story about.” Companies (including the 30+ companies featured in Talk Triggers) must dare to be different and exceed expectations in one or more tangible ways. That’s when word of mouth becomes involuntary: their customers HAVE to tell someone else.” Talk Triggers gives you tangible ways to stand out from the competition, reach people in meaningful ways, and truly understand what your customers (or blog visitors ) want and need .
