What are the challenges of being a creator in today's environment?

Post by Dimaeiya333 »

“The biggest challenge has been staying consistent. I recently got married and found that juggling wedding planning and content planning was a challenge. If you take a break from content, the algorithm may not show your work to as many people when you get back to a regular cadence. The more followers you have, the more feedback you’ll get. People often talk to each other online in ways they never would in person.”

@maria.layton : “A lot of creators have had their engagement drop [due to Instagram’s algorithm changes] and there aren’t as many eyes on our content, which has impacted our brands and partnerships. The algorithm is unpredictable! There are so many creators [in North America] now that it’s hard to stand out.”

@tsvetifit : “Everything I do is in Bulgarian. I regret that when I started I didn’t do it in English audit directors auditors email database because now I see that it limits me. In Western countries, the transition has moved on to losing weight, to liking yourself, your body and taking care of your health. This is missing in Bulgaria. Maybe I can be one of the first, but it’s difficult. If I had started the business internationally, there would always be people who would understand what I say.”

What content formats have the potential to develop this year?
@foodiesnitch : “Short-form video content is here to stay. I’ve seen engagement skyrocket with this type of content. This trend will create deeper connections with creators as more information is shared than with photos. Once that connection is established, followers will want to stick around for longer-form content like YouTube videos, and they’ll also want to see more behind-the-scenes footage on Instagram.”

@maria.layton : “I love video content and really enjoy creating and consuming it. I think video content will start to catch up with long-form content on some platforms. I love BeReal! I think if you approach it right, you can monetize it.”

@tsvetifit : “I try to post a couple times a week on my feed and every day on stories. People engage the most with my stories. I have 17k followers on Instagram and I get 1000 likes and 4-5000 views on my stories. The first place I go on Instagram is DMs because that’s where I feel connected to people. DMs have so much power and potential that I don’t think a lot of creators are taking seriously.”
